SCULPTURE

This sculptural spoon is carved from English ash.
The sculptural spoons are spoons pushed into abstraction. Through elongation, reduction and exaggeration of their original proportions, they become something more ambiguous — a familiar form, yet suddenly so human.
A hybrid of human and spoon, the works explore what happens when an object is freed from its purpose, celebrating material, transformation and the poetic potential of form.
