M O T H E R’ S C A B I N E T
The cabinet was commissioned for a home in Copenhagen. It was a wish from the Mother to have a cabinet that could hide away cables and the wifi router, whilst holding a long speaker on the top shelf. Given a very central position in the open plan living room we agreed on using fumed oak to suit the existing furniture in the room.
It’s made from solid wood throughout and the doors are tongue & grooved with a sliding dovetail on the inside. Before assembly I fumed the individual strips in different batches to achieve a color gradient on the finished door panel.
