They seem to belong everywhere — on desks, kitchen counters, bars, and coffee tables.
Spin tops carry a long history and a world of shapes. The lower and heavier the rim, the longer they spin. The steeper the cone, the more they wobble. I like a bit of wobble — so I make mine with steep cones and watch them dance.
The small ones are easier to spin, but they all have a charm of their own.
They only balance when they move — so do we, I thought once, sitting in a park.
The more of them, the more smiles. I think they’re the perfect gift — for anyone, of any age, on any day.
