BESPOKE &#38;amp; ONE-OF-A-KIND&#38;nbsp; 


	Bespoke work begins with a conversation. From there, designs are developed through drawings, material samples and discussion, with consideration given to timber, construction and finish.

Alongside commissioned work, I make one-of-a-kind pieces that emerge through experimentation and the making process.

	The sculptural spoons are spoons pushed into abstraction. 
Through elongation, reduction and exaggeration of their original proportions, they become something more ambiguous — a familiar form, yet suddenly so human.

About


I design and make furniture and objects in small production runs and bespoke commissions.

Each piece is made in my workshop in St Leonards-on-Sea, where I mill the timber myself to maintain control over grain, stability and finish.

My approach is quiet and grounded in structural integrity, where proportion, detail and joinery define the work, and the trace of making is retained.

Furniture is informed by traditional joinery and archetypal forms, while carved and turned objects emerge through a direct engagement with the material.

The current collection includes a series of stools produced in limited runs, alongside individual objects including bowls, candleholders and sculptural spoons.

Work is available through selected shops in the UK and on a made-to-order basis. Lead times typically range from 4–8 weeks, depending on the piece.

	The Story (Briefly...)I worked as a scenic design assistant in London before training as a cabinetmaker, completing a City &#38;amp; Guilds qualification in Bench Joinery. I initially focused on furniture such as stools, benches and side tables. I was drawn to these pieces because they occupy a space between utility and sculpture. My furniture begins with archetypal wooden forms and traditional joinery, which I use as a framework for exploring how structure can become part of an object's visual language, balancing strength with lightness and simplicity with character.

Over time, my interest in wood led me beyond furniture into carving and turning. These processes introduced new ways of engaging with the material and opened possibilities for forms not defined solely by function. Occasionally, the material or process would lead a piece away from its intended function. Rather than seeing these outcomes as failures, I became increasingly interested in objects that retained traces of utility while existing as something more open and ambiguous.

Today, my work moves fluidly between the functional and the sculptural, guided by curiosity, material exploration and a commitment to making by hand.

	
The Workshop and WoodsMy workshop is equipped with a small set of traditional woodworking machines that allow me to prepare sawn timber for furniture making, alongside hand tools that I use to refine and finish each component.
The wood I work with is sourced either from English Woodlands Timber or nearby woodlands. The leather comes from British Pasture Leather, and the paper cord is from the original Danish supplier.
